Busy, Busy, Busy

Hello Blogers,

You are waiting patiently for my next blog post. Well I have been really busy crafting for a show this coming weekend. On top of that we have mice in the kitchen and under the house we are dealing with. Andy the cat has been helping with that situation.

Soon I will be posting before and after images of my craft room (formerly the garage, although we have never had a car in there) and trying to get better organized.

Tag Sale Finds

First of all I found this wax rooster intending to buy, but the owner graciously GAVE it to me!

Thank you so much Susan. This is going to hang in my kitchen.
I decorate for Fourth of July on my front porch. These will be saved for then.

These terrific bits of crochet lace and metal buckles will find their way onto some of my handcrafts. I'm thinking pincusions here!

Welcome Spring !!

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME ALL

The spring has sprung in my neck of the woods. Come visit on my front porch to see what I have done. Here is my new Welcome flag to greet you....

Now take a look at this year's hanging boston ferns. The Cottage Guy hung them a little higher this year because we usually have birds nesting in them. Let's check and see...

I spy a bit of bird's egg blue, yup we have a nest. Excuse me while I get a chair for a better look.

Well HELLO! Five eggs!

Err, I mean 4 soft turqoise eggs, and 1 larger speckled egg. I have heard of this. Some other bird lays their egg in someone's nest so they will take care of the hatchling and do all the parenting. HUH!

What do you think of that????

What I didn't tell you is they perished the very next day. Tiny bits of down and feathers were on the porch, the back deck....and ANDY!

Easter Greetings

Enjoy some images around the cottage of bunny and lovely easter things!
On our deck is a table with this tiny bird bath. I added some moss and faux eggs.
I know, these eggs are really too big for the tiny bird!


I love pansies!

Here is the bouquet from an earlier post. I have added the egg stems.

when the kids were little we painted these precut bunnies. They added the eyes and nose parts. The wire had shiny ribbon wound around them but are now missing.

This one has buttons.

Three favorite items I have combined to make a stunning centerpiece.

I painted this plaster piece ages ago and now it shows it's age!

Birds

It's spring. Soon we will have nests full of these little birds. Every year I put up hanging baskets on the front porch and soon after a nest will appear in them. This is a photo of birds from last year taken by The Cottage Guy.

A folk art blue bird. A friend of mine says it is a good day when you spy a blue bird. I have already seen a pair in the yard this week!

Pie birds. I would love to have more of these!
